      General Meeting  

 

The meeting was held on Saturday, May 20, 2006 atthe Calvary Christian Assemble. We had a social hour, a book sale, a rummage sale, a business meeting in which we elected our new officers, an interesting program on Period Corsets, a potluck lunch in the company of many friends, old and new.

	Rebecca's Company Period Corsets is a local company that makes historically accurate corsets and petticoats depicting the fashions of the 1600's to modern times.  The company creates corsets for film, theatre, operas and even Madonna at the 2006 Grammies.  Above are 2 corsets modeled by our guild members.  Our models had a wonderful time, as did all of us!
	Past co-presidents, Gloria and Kat, receive their traditional thank-you gift of a thimble from          new co-president Noreen.
