Saturday Classes:

Twined Abalone Shell with Sue Marvin
Saturday, August 2, 9 - 4:30 at the PNNAG Office at the Good Shepherd Center

This basket is made by weaving over the outer, rough side of an abalone shell.  We will use cedar spokes and northwest sweetgrass (sedge) as the main materials, and students may choose dyed bear grass or dyed cedar overlay to create a simple pattern.  The basket is finished with a fine braided cedar rim.  Class size is limited to 12 students, so sign up early.

Class fee:  $32.00 members, $37.00 non-members.
Materials fee:  $23.00 to be paid directly to the instructor during class.

Altered Books "Experience" with Margaret Rehnstrom and Suzanne Tilly
Saturday, August 16, 9:00 to 1:00 at the PNNAG Office at the Good Shepherd Center

Have you ever wanted to experiment with altered books and paper art?  Now's your chance!  Each student will be given an encyclopedia to alter and tips on embellishments, including hidden niches, pop ups, collages and more!  We will provide trims, sequins, fabric, beads, buttons, and everything else we can think of.  Students will need to bring scissors, glue, colors (pens, pencils, paint, markers - your choice), and whatever else stirs your fancy.  Be prepared to share!  Class size is limited to 20 students.

Class fee:  FREE
Materials fee:  $5.00 to be paid directly to instructor during class
