Tammy Pitre has over 13 years of experience in employment and training, with a major focus being displaced workers. Before coming to Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, Tammy worked for a number of displaced worker programs, within the State agencies and Community and Technical Colleges; The Department of Social and Health Services, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Seattle Central Community College, Seattle Vocational Institute, South Seattle Community College and currently under the umbrella of the Employment Security Department. Tammy also started the Central Puget Sound Diversity Task Force in July of 1995 with six members. The goal was to foster relationships with the Downtown Seattle business community to provide a forum for hiring diverse candidates .Since then the Central Puget Sound Task Force grew and emerged with Eastside diversity task force with a current combined to date membership of around four to five hundred members.
