Who We Are:
We are a group of younger Friends, diverse in age (although mostly
20's - 40's), pursuits, and outlook who share similar sets of spiritual
values and beliefs. Many of us are out in the workforce, some of
us are students, and a few are starting families. We have some great
social events: getting together, having a good meal, exchanging ideas,
opinions, and maybe even dancing... University
Friends Meeting is a Meeting in Seattle, WA, and is part of NPYM. North
Pacific Yearly Meeting is comprised of over 40 Monthly Meetings and
Worship Groups spread across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
We are of the unprogrammed tradition of Friends (particularly Beanite).
Reoccurring Events:
Impending Upcoming Non-Cyclical Events:
Do you know of an event that should appear in this
space? Email it to Christopher Gwyn
for inclusion in the next update.
Communications:
We keep in touch with each other by seeing each other at Meeting, going
out for lunch on the 3rd Sunday of the month, and with the help of a listserv
and group on Yahoo-Groups.
(The Yahoo-Groups list is only for announcements - anything that is not
an announcement should go to the listserv. Instructions for joining are
at the Groups site.)
To be included on the listserv and participate in whatever discussions,
announcements, or commentary occurs send an e-mail message to: listproc@u.washington.edu
and put in exactly this syntax:
subscribe quaker Margaret
Fell
(assuming, of course, that
your name is Margaret Fell)
Do not insert any periods or other punctuation. The system should then
automatically sign you up and mail you instructions should you wish to
be removed from the list. If you wish to contact a person regarding the
listserv, please send mail to: Jesara
Schroeder.
