Theme Name:  Parcels (KC Assessor) / Land Use (Generalized)

Description:  Land ownership, assessment and use descriptions at the 
parcel level as described by the King County Assessor Office.  

Land use codes are grouped into 20 major categories used for indicating the major 
land use type on a parcel.  An expanded categorization is available through the 
KCA LUC code (refer to the GeoGuide for the detailed descriptions).  

Linked to a table called sales.dbf which contains information about the sales 
history of a parcel; select a parcel when the sales.dbf table is open and all 
of the matching sales records will appear highlighted in the sales.dbf table, 
or select the sales records you are interested in from the sales.dbf table and 
the matching parcels will appear highlighted on the map.  Also linked to a table 
called cndoonly.dbf which contains the individual tax payer records for a 
condominium parcel.

Data Quality:  Locations, assessed values and tax payer information
are very good; land use information can be somewhat out-of-date; use the field
AREA to calculate parcel square footage.
