As he squirmed in his chair

Trying to avoid the unpleasant prospect of

looking

DIRECTLY

At me

NO, I'm sorry.

I can't.

Perhaps there was a time ONCE

When I could……………

I don't know -

To know such a thing would require

LINEAR THOUGHT

I dangled the sentence in front of him like a broken watch fob

Somewhere in my head I thought I think - checkmate

He stuck his pipe between yellowed teeth and

Sucked,

Irritated he fumbled for the leather tobacco pouch given him by one

of the clients he seduced into "sainity"

Still averting his eyes so not to stare into my world

He repacked the pipe, struck a match and then

Sucked again.

Satisifed….

He questioned then

HOW DOES YOUR THOUGHT TRANSPIRE?

Spiral

SPIRAL?

Spiral I repeated

It starts in the center

I DREW HIM A PICTURE

And it spirals.

UPWARDS OR DOWNWARDS? He thought he was humoring me.

IMPOSSIBLE- not both at the same time!

Sometimes yes as now

WHAT DICTATES THIS SPIRAL?

THIS DIRECTION- he asked sucking

Spirit

Spirit? As in your spirits? Being in good spirits or bad spirits?

Spirit

Energy

Flow

Good day

Bad day

Don't matter

All spiral………

Th the 4 directions

But in a circular spiral inclination

As I stared at his tobacco stained fingers tapping on his desk I

continued…..

Circular motion is next to godliness
