--(a working man builds up,

a loafer tears him down) sometimes

the wind thru grapes /"He said to her

can't we sometimes forget" "Yes," certain capacities

which made cities built.

once she was trusting, she with big arms, a

harpist.

let's watch the train go around the bend

he stood somewhere in relationship to her, dimensions variable

who needs silence more than anything else?-- the idea

that made miniature toys work (like clock-work)

at night, in rooms

not concerned

the tired break of rosy dawn, she said "i believe." finally

the harpist came home

for dinner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCRIPT FOR WIND

projects courtyard-- laundry that swings in air,

many stories up

unshaven man with hanging face, dirty white hair blows in his eyes and

mouth.

people falling out of windows-- (STOCK FOOTAGE)

Looking down the street wistfully.

"sometimes rain isn't so far away"-- a young girl sleeping, having a

dream in nightclothes.

(many cars. )

quiet corners in dusty rooms with morning-time single windows,

a post-card of Chartres cathedral, bowls of paint from a book on Willem

De Kooning

there are cats sleeping, outside on the lawn:

in solitude amongst the leaves

a tired woman & her cigarette smoke( --it is possible she is drinking

coffee)

the same young girl sleeps, is everybody sleeping?

the court-yard. 6:30 am at the air-field

bread & crumbs at the edge of a table

making my own bed,

a sink full of hot water readied for dishes

the courtyard laundry. (a coin-operated soda machine--.)
