Unbeen?

undone? and unbeen?
a man becomes a plaque in Dedham
having fwallowed a pin
and chewed on a cough

becomes a pod of wails
against the serpent hiss of the rain

becomes a cross of raisins
pressed into a rice cake

becomes a stitch in a flag:
a rag waving at a condition

becomes a sphinx on a vector
swirling in a gyre

becomes gurry
rot rendered for a soul

and yet lying
by his own weight
on a rough dray
is dragged all over the ground.
