The Sumner Wrestling Club in conjunction with Sumner Parks and Rec. Will move the Freestyle Program to Mountain View Jr. High this year. (due to construction near Miller Gym)
WHEN: MONDAY AND THURSDAYS 6:00PM TO 8:00PM STARTING FEB. 22ND.
Cost: $20 for Sumner/Bonney Lake Residents $25 for Non-Residents
***Note this price does not included a USA wrestling card which is
required to wrestle in freestyle and Greco Tournaments. The card is around
$20 and is sold at most tournaments before they begin. It is good for the
year.
Competition in the weekly tournaments are optional but are
encouraged. The tournaments will be at each wrestlers
individual expense.

Dear Wrestling Coaches and Parents,
The Lakewood Airmen Freestyle Wrestling Team proudly announces the
beginning
of their fourth freestyle wrestling season. Practices start
Tuesday
February 9th and will be every Tuesday and Thursday evening from
6:15 PM to 8 PM
at Lakes High School West Gym. Competition in the weekly tournaments
are
optional but are encouraged. The tournaments will be at each
wrestlers
individual expense.
There is no charge to participate in the practices. We
do require those who
practice to be properly equipped and to follow the practice regiment
as
outlined by head Coach Craig Onufer for that evening (588-0131).
Safety is of
prime concern and anyone who is undisciplined or does not adhere
to the rules
as briefed every evening will be ask to not participate.
Adult coaches (18 and over) are welcomed to help with the instruction
and to
practice.
Olympic Freestyle wrestling is the best way for our "collegiate/folkstyle"
wrestlers to improve their skills in the "off season". The
scoring and thus
the wrestling strategies are different, but the overall experience
is very
transferable to all types of wrestling. We are looking forward
to another
exciting and successful season. Please feel free to pass this
