Volunteering with SCN

Introduction to Volunteering with SCN

A number of projects are awaiting qualified volunteers at SCNA. If you'd like to participate, the first step is to fill out the online volunteer application form, and send it in to the Volunteer Coordinator.

You will be interviewed (probably over the phone), and scheduled for a Volunteer Orientation if openings exist that suit your training and experience.

Our current volunteer listings are with VolunteerMatch. If you find something that you are interested in, please come back here and fill out our online volunteer application form.

Each volunteer must also sign and send in a paper copy of the Volunteer Agreement. You can print it out from the link on the menu above, or print out the copy that's automatically displayed on your screen when you submit the completed Volunteer Application Form. Paper copies are available at Volunteer Orientation sessions.

Volunteer Orientation

These introductory sessions are required for all volunteers. They help new volunteers become familiar with how SCNA works, including history, mission, policies, and volunteer conduct. Most volunteers will leave the orientation matched to a volunteer position.

Your volunteer orientation session will be scheduled after you complete an online application and an initial interview (see above). Volunteer orientations are held at least once a month. For more information, please send e-mail to the volunteer coordinator at volunteer-info@scn.org
