SEAMEC is a non-partisan civic organization that rates candidates running for political and judicial office in Seattle, King County, and the State of Washington. SEAMEC evaluates candidates on their knowledge of, record of proven activism for, and commitment to the concerns of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) communities. SEAMEC publishes its ratings in advance of the primary and general elections, so that voters can make an informed choice.
Steering Committee meeting dates have changed! The Steering Committee now meets the fourth Monday of every month. The public is welcome to attend steering committee meetings. All meetings are held at the Seamec office at 12th & Pine, and start at 7:00 p.m.
Next steering committee meeting:
Monday, February 27, 7:00 p.m.
Because of improvements in our membership database, we are only mailing the rating sheets to current paid members and volunteers. Please make sure your membership payments are up to date to insure that you receive a ratings sheet in the mail. Your contributions are important to us; they help pay for printing and pubication of ratings, for the interview coordinator, and for our office space.
