Origin:
Founded in 1991, the Association is composed of
individuals and organizations interested in promoting close ties between
the people of Seattle and Pecs, Hungary.
Goals:
Advance
educational, cultural, and commercial relations between Seattle and
Pecs.
Inform and educate
the public about our sister city.
Activities:
Host public
officials, community leaders, students, and others from Pecs. Conduct
exchanges in the fields of education, culture, arts, and trade. Organize
participation in community programs, such as World Fest. Sponsor social
events, such as lectures, concerts, films, sport events, theater
performances.
Funding:
Sources are
membership dues, donations and fundraising. Dues and donations are tax
deductible for those who itemize. All funds are used for ongoing
Associations activities. Officers and directors serve without pay.
