There was lots of crochet and knitting excitement this fall as enthusiasts nationwide took to the streets, sharing their love of these crafts. During September 24-30,2000, there were Knit-Out& Crochet 2000 events at which people learned to crochet and/or knit and share their expertise. No two were exactly alike but all were fun, informative and free!

In Seattle, the America's Knit-Out & Crochet 2000 was celebrated on Sunday, September 24th starting at 11:00 a.m., at Third Place Books. Here are some of the activities we planned:

• Live fashion show 2:00 - 3:00 pm -- Fashions knitted by our members.
• FREE knit & crochet lessons -- kids were welcome too!
• Show & Tell--local artists shared their favorite knit and crochet projects.
• Ask the experts -- SKG members were available to answer any and all knitting and crocheting questions.
• Charity Knitting & Crochet Programs -- explanations of what Seattle Knitter's Guild does for the community.
