On Good Friday at noon we gather with our sister congregations
in the University District at U Cong UCC for telling the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and death (John 18:1–19, 42). There will be sharing about what the story means in their lives today. Tim and Tanya Chartier will perform a piece called “Watch the Lamb.”

Plan to join with other U District congregations on this day when
we look together on the hard parts of our lives and histories that
we might otherwise shy away, yet are the very ground from which Resurrection is born.

Easter                                    March 23

Sunrise Service *

7 am (rain or shine) at U Lutheran Church

University Lutheran will host the U District Ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service at 7 am on Easter morning. Participants will congregate on the front lawn for the service (weather permitting). If the weather is questionable, the service will be held in the chapel. Come rain or shine, and join in the early morning experience of discovering the empty tomb and celebrating in the resurrection of Jesus.


Potluck Breakfast
On Easter morning there will be a potluck breakfast in the Lounge at 9 o’clock. Please bring a dish to share (quiche, fruit, bagels, etc.)

Emergency Clean-up Buckets

These supplies will enable people to begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after the floods here in Washington.
The Centralia area reports a big need for them now. They can be delivered to the Centralia Red Cross.
To assemble an Emergency Clean-up Bucket you will need:

    * One five-gallon bucket with resealable lid
    * Five scouring pads
    * Seven sponges, assorted sizes
    * One scrub brush
    * Eighteen cleaning towels (reusable, like Easy Wipes®)
    * One 50-78 oz. box dry laundry detergent
    * One 12 oz. bottle of liquid concentrated household cleaner (like Lysol®)
    * One 25 oz. bottle liquid disinfectant dish soap (like Dawn®)
    * Fifty clothespins
    * Clothesline, two 50 ft. or one 100 ft.
    * Five dust masks
    * Two pairs latex gloves (like Playtex®)
    * One pair work gloves
    * 24-bag roll of heavy-duty trash bags (33-45 gallon)

Please purchase all liquids in plastic bottles. Be sure to send only new, unopened materials. Put all items in the plastic bucket, making sure they are packed securely to avoid damage during shipment, and seal lid with packing tape. Place each Bucket in a separate box.
