Medicinal Properties: Febrifuge, sudorific, sedative, diaphoretic
A most powerful and effective remedy in skin diseases of all kinds, scrofula, scurvy, boils, tumors, fevers, acute erysipelas, cramps, pleurisy, night sweats, and is highly recommended for cancer. Very useful for enlarged veins. Dip a cloth in the tea and apply to boils and tumors. Will produce profuse perspiration without exciting the system. Especially good in the low stages of fever. Valuable in typhus and infammatory diseases. Excellent combined with blue cohosh for scanty or painful menstruation.
