We continue to move toward church unity, holding membership in the Washington Association of Churches, the Church Council of Greater Seattle, the World Council of Churches, the Council on Christian Unity, the National Council of Churches and other major ecumenical organizations.

Jean Vandergrift, our former minister, once stated that
"University Christian Church is as solid as a tree.
This place and its people have made a solid historical witness to Jesus Christ. . .. .. . .
We can be counted upon like a tree, firmly planted and strong of frame.
It is a living system."

We believe God calls us to constantly strive through our personal witness to address the needs in our neighborhood and the wider world, engaging in ministries of reconciliation, compassion, unity, and justice.
