Land Use Other Land Use Actions NOTICE OF EARLY DESIGN GUIDANCE MEETING The Director of DCLU is convening the Design Review Board for an early design guidance meeting regarding the following location:
PROCESS The applicants have applied for Design Review related to development of this site for a commercial development. At the early design guidance meeting, the applicants will present information about the site and vicinity; the public may offer comments regarding the design and siting of a commercial development on the subject site; and, the Design Review Board members will also offer comments and identify those Citywide Design Guidelines of highest priority in developing the site. PUBLIC MEETING The Department of Design, Construction and Land Use (DCLU) is currently reviewing the application described below and will hold a public meeting to gather comments on the project. Project Number: 9906961 Address: 2901 NE Blakeley St Zone: C1 40’ Project Description: The Blakeley Street project is approximately one acre in land size and will be a mixed-use project consisting of approximately 110 to 120 residential units. The project will be built as two buildings and in two construction phases. The project site is bordered by approximately 385 ft. of frontage along NE Blakeley St on the northern edge, the Burke Gilman Trail on the southern edge, a commercial building to the west (Omni Development) and a commercial building to the east (Plenty of Textiles). The proposed project will demolish four buildings (the existing street addresses on the site are 2715, 2721, 2723, 2727, and 2901 NE Blakeley St) that range from one to two stories in height. The project will consist of approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of commercial/retail space along the NE Blakeley St frontage, 110 to 120 residential units, and approximately 170 to 190 subterranean parking stalls. The building will be four stories along NE Blakeley St and four stories on the Trail side. Parking is required for both commercial/retail and for residential and will be accessed off Blakeley St. The project requires the following approvals:
