WaRRN, the Washington Reproductive Rights Network, is a grassroots organization dedicated to defending the rights and reproductive health of women both in the United States and internationally through activism, education, lobbying, and outreach.
Mission Statement
We the members of WaRRN and citizens of Washington State, uphold the fundamental reproductive rights of women and men. Acting in solidarity with the Global Women's Movement, we commit ourselves to protecting access to safe health care choices and advocating for reproductive health rights worldwide.
Our current focus is fighting the global abortion gag rule (sometimes called the Mexico City Policy), an executive order signed by President George W. Bush on his second day in office that severely inhibits the activities of many US-funded international family planning agencies in 52 countries, endangering the lives of the millions of women they serve.
