In addition to presenting crime prevention information on the web and in the Wedgwood Echo, the WCC supports efforts to enhance existing Block Watch efforts in our neighborhood. With severe cutbacks in the Block Watch program due to city budget cuts, the efforts of the WCC and Wedgwood Block Watch "czar" Brian Capoccia are all the more important. Mayor Greg Nickels has congratulated the community in its efforts to organize Block Watch neighborhood-wide.
