July 12, 2008 (Saturday)Sixth Annual Wedgwood Outdoor Cinema Event officially starts at 7:30 p.m. with food and games at Thornton Creek School, between NE 80th and NE 77th St at 42nd Ave NE. Movie starts just after dusk (9:30ish). This family-friendly event is one of the most anticipated summer events in our neighborhood with several hundred attendees enjoying activities for all ages plus great food and beverages. After 182 votes in our online poll, the community selected Bend it Like Beckham by a two-vote margin. This "sweet sports comedy with plenty of heart" is PG-13 and 112 minutes. The Outdoor Cinema is a free event intended to provide local organizations, residents, and businesses a fun way of getting together to make Wedgwood an even better community. WCC's Outdoor Cinema is generously hosted by AE2/Decatur Elementary School between NE 80th and NE 77th at 42nd Avenue NE.More Info
