Heroes of Wedgwood Announced
 May 8, 2008: The individual hero awards this year go to Christine Larsen for her leadership on the Dahl Playfield renovation, Gale Lurie for her initiative and leadership on the annual Wedgwood Art Festival. The organizational award goes to Wedgwood Action Group for its organizing on the condo project slated for 35th NE at NE 86th.

May 8 Meeting: Peter Steinbrueck
 Our May 8 general meeting featureed the annual Heroes of Wedgwood awards (see below), trustee elections, and Peter Steinbrueck speaking on neighborhoods and development. Thanks for the great turnout!

May 31, 2008: Heritage tree dedication ceremony at 38th Ave NE & NE 77th. A majestic scarlet oak was officially recognized by the Seattle Heritage Tree Project in an event organized by Plant Amnesty. Pictured at lower left are Cass Turnbull, President of Plant Amnesty, and Arthur Lee Jacobson, author of Trees of Seattle.
