April 3
Seattle Sites of the Day:

"Restoration sites include Puget Creek, Hamm Creek, the Turning Basin, Kenco
Marine, Seaboard Lumber, Duwamish Waterway Park and North Wind's Weir. These
sites join... GSA, Terminal 105... All of the projects above include
elements of saltmarsh restoration - habitat that is crucial for chinook
salmon survival.
"Restoration projects... will need ongoing stewardship in order to become
successful, especially during the first five years while plants become
established. By involving local citizens and businesses in working on and
monitoring restoration sites, we hope to create a legacy of stewardship for
the Duwamish Estuary."
