Washington Community Alliance for Self-Help

"A Child Care Microloan program will provide comprehensive business and child care training [to those] who wish to become child care providers [or] who are looking to improve their existing child care operation. Begins Thursday, April 13th, 2000.

"The Fremont Public Association [microloan] program is open to all low income Seattle women. Starts Wednesday, April 26th, 2000."

"The Holly Park program is restricted to residents of Holly Park and other SHA housing communities and South East Seattle residents (space permitting). Starts Tuesday, April 11th, 2000.

Homestead Community Land Trust

"A Community Land Trust creates affordable housing by taking the cost of land out of the purchase price of a home... The Beacon Hill CLT Project is planning on launching its first home ownership development project during this year, with housing units to be ready for purchase in 2001."

- Tributary dechannelization for fish passage
- Plantings of native vegetation... adjacent to the creek
- ... frog pond to help bring back Pacific chorus frogs
- Construction to restore a tributary creeklet and wetland... adjacent to the south fork
- Restoration of Willow Creek, a tributary to the south fork
- Streamkeeper program"
