Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

"King County Reads Challenge volunteers provide tutoring to help young
children... Retired Executive Volunteers act as unpaid consultants to area
non-profits and public agencies... Knit-It-Alls volunteers knit or crochet
hats, scarves and other cold-weather essentials for distribution to families
living in shelter and transitional housing."

Pike Market Medical Clinic

The Clinic provides "comprehensive, primary health care to people without
adequate access to care in our community. Our focus is on elderly and HIV+
individuals, low and no income people..."
"...volunteers have always been a critical resource for the Clinic."
Volunteer opportunities include clerical work, specialty services such as
podiatry and orthopedics, professional nursing, and patient assistance such
as helping patients get to appointments or visiting a homebound patient. To

The Giving Tree

"Quality wooden toys are hand-crafted by formerly homeless residents of St.
Martin's on Westlake and other seniors. The wooden toys are sold through
retail outlets to support toy donations to children of low income families."
"The craftsmen at The Giving Tree are residents of The Westlake and other
seniors from AARP and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Volunteer
opportunities are available in: toy crafting, toy painting, toy assembling,
and retail sales at Pike Place Market."
