Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail
"This summer, the Parks Dept. will excavate the soggy grass portion of Roxhill Park and begin to re-create the peat bog wetland that once existed there." "... a public trail that would follow the 3-mile length of Longfellow Creek, beginning at Roxhill Park, and ending near the West Seattle Bridge. ...reclaim and enhance the Longfellow Creek corridor... We need over 1,200 hours of community support to make this work!"

Tweeters Birding Email
"Welcome to Tweeters, ... serving the University of Washington, Washington State, and the Cascadia region as a public service and scientific research tool. Tweeters was founded around the end of 1992 by Dan Victor of the Washington Ornithological Society and the Seattle Audubon Society, with three people sharing messages about bird sightings. From this informal beginning it has spread around the Northwest, and now has a wide variety of regional subscribers from Oregon, Idaho, British [Columbia] area. The University of Washington listprocessor was added in March of 1994... "Anyone may subscribe to this free service. Unique field trip reports, interesting sightings, unusual bird anecdotes, scientific queries, questions for the experts, all messages are welcome." |
