Fremont Arts Council

"We define the term 'artist' very loosely, and our projects are open to the community to participate and learn new skills. Many members are professional artists, but don't let them scare you away."

"Monday May 1, Maypole Dance and Potluck at Gasworks Park. ... general wild and fancy free welcoming to Spring. Festivities begin about 6:00pm at Gasworks Park near the shelter. Come early to help setup or come earlier, Sunday April 31, 6pm at the Powerhouse to make headdresses."

Fauntleroy Community Association

Fellowship of Reconciliation of Western Washington

WWFOR's Spring Membership Assembly is Saturday, April 29 at 9:00 AM at Fauntleroy UCC Church, 9260 California Ave SW. "You can choose to work on one or more of six issues:

  1. Global economics
  2. Racial justice
  3. the Decade for Nonviolence
  4. Lifting economic sanctions on the people of Iraq
  5. Death penalty abolition
  6. Disarmament & de-militarizing our foreign policy.
Each of these issues has a significant local component where we can make a difference... "

Voice of Roma

"The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be to organize, promote, and provide educational and charitable projects for and about Roma. Our goal is to provide Roma, with a special emphasis on the inclusion of Romani women, with a voice, in their local communities, as well as nationally and internationally. We will do this through programs such as the following:
- cultural exchange events
- educational forums for the general public concerning the history and current plight of the Roma
- media projects involving heightening awareness of Romani issues and including Romani participation in the media
- health and educational services for Romani women and children
- intra and inter-ethnic conflict resolution services
- empowerment through economic development
- community organization and institution-building programs
- immigration and refugee assistance programs
- humanitarian aid programs
- other human rights and legal assistance programs"
