Stewart St. across from the Greyhound Station.
"Seattle's booming economy has caused housing prices to soar while
the wages of many downtown service workers have stagnated. The
same wealth that produces soaring office towers and posh hotels
also produces thousands of poverty wage jobs. Many people
employed in downtown offices and hotels are flooding Seattle's
shelters, food banks and other social services..."
King County Labor Council, HERE Local 8, religious leaders and
housing and community advocates are sponsoring a "Conversation
between downtown service workers, housing advocates, and Mayor
Paul Schell." Push for quality jobs and labor organizing rights.
