Food Lifeline - on SCN
Food Lifeline is offering more volunteer opportunities, and would like to encourage neighborhood, school, corporate and community groups to participate. If you'd like to volunteer, call Patty Hopfe at (206) 545-FOOD or (800) 404-7543 ext. 222, or e-mail Patty at PattyH@fll.org.

Seattle Sites of the Week:

GeoEducation: Education Reform from the Radical Middle!
"With the Seattle Times' release of its new School Guide, I looked for sites with grassroots views of local education issues. To be blunt, I don't like this site. But it does talk about some interesting and controversial things, from a very unofficial point of view. For example, it's one of the few sites to mention the Mr. Mak controversy. S.O.S. (Substitutes of Seattle) gives a substitute teachers organization's reviews of many schools' 1996-1997 administrations.

Seattle League of Women Voters: Current Issues in Education
"The Seattle League of Women Voters' Current Issues in Education presents the results of the first half of their two-year (1995-1997) study of Seattle schools."
- R. Clark
