Samba Seattle
-
Carnival Seattle is February 13 at the Mountaineers Club. In
addition to regular weekly drum and dance classes, Samba Seattle
will be providing workshops by local and visiting artists year
round.
"Samba Seattle would like to bring the attention of our members
and supporters to a nonprofit charity called Bahia Street. This
is a group of Brazilians and Americans committed to improving
the conditions of poverty in Brazil. What this means for Samba
Seattle is the opportunity to pay back Brazil the gift of music
and culture. We are going to throw some fund raisers together
and lend support whenever we can. Contact Margaret Wilson at
(206) 329-1782 for more Bahia Street info. Send us e-mail at
samba@scn.org."
