Community Powered Radio
Community Powered Radio supports grassroots groups creating their own media, and promotes noncommercial low powered radio in the Pacific Northwest.

Alan Korn, author of legal arguments used to challenge the FCC's ban on low power community radio, will speak at Seattle Central Community College in Room 4601 on Thursday, May 13 at 7:00 PM. The FCC is now considering creating a low power FM radio service. Korn believes the FCC's proposal is flawed and needs public comment.

CPR will also screen part of the award-winning documentary Fear and Favor in the Newsroom. Directors Beth Sanders and Randy Baker will be there to introduce their film, which was banned by PBS' national distributor. Contact Sheri Herndon at (206) 633-1987 or e-mail cpr@gurlmail.com.

Sound Opportunities
"Sound Opportunities has their own domain name/site which they advertise in their bi-weekly employment publication: http://www.soundop.com. I just checked it out, and while it is very simple, it does offer all the non-profit job employment listings that are in the print version, plus info on how to subscribe to the print version. I'd recommend it as one of Scn's site of the (week/month), because it's an excellent resource for finding a job in the non-profit world of the Pacific Northwest (it's how I found out about my current job, so it does work!)."

The Litter Box
"You might take a look at my site. It leads to several other pages which are eclectic, to say the least."
