Côr Cymraeg , The Seattle Welsh choir
is a mixed choir for adults (SATB), that sings traditional and contemporary
music in the Welsh language. Côr Cymraeg Seattle was founded in 1982
by Benton Williams, who has provided many unique musical arrangements for
the choir. The choir competed at the North American National Eisteddfod,
in Bellevue, Washington (1994), and has performed at the North American
National Gymanfa Ganu in Portland (1984), at Seattle's Folklife festival,
and at the King County Highland Games, in addition to many other regional
concerts.
Their performances are available on cassette and CD now - ask
any chorister for info.
The choir is available to sing for fairs, festivals, funerals, marriages,
birthdays, banquets, and other special occasions.
