Dosbarth Cymraeg (Welsh Language Class)

helps people learn the Welsh language and Welsh Culture by using books, audio tapes, video tapes, and in-class practice.

Classes are held in Seattle on Sunday evenings (September through May), in the home of our President, Brian Perry.

A small group of regulars is currently working in this mode, making good progress.  Feel free to join in!

BBC Online Lessons - first 20 CatchPhrase Course segments
The introduction on the BBC site (http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/catchphrase)
reads as follows:
You've always wanted to learn Welsh?
Then join Nigel Walker on the Catchphrase 1 course on BBC Radio
Wales. As a taster, we're making Nigel's first 20 lessons available
             here at BBC Wales Online.

Catchphrase has pioneered a new approach to learning by radio -
one which uses a genuine learner in the studio, one-to-one, with a
tutor. The three tutors come from different parts of Wales, so you can
'tune' into different Welsh accents as you learn. Ann Jones is from
Gwynedd in north Wales, Cennard Davies is from the Rhondda Valley
in south Wales and Basil Davies is from Carmarthen in south-west
             Wales.
