Denny Middle Torn Down & Combined with Sealth High School?

  • Is it safe to mix 6th graders with 18 year old students?
  • What happens to the current Denny site if the school moves?
  • What are potential impacts to surrounding properties?
  • What did the voters really vote for?

Seattle School District is ready to move forward with plans in September to combine Denny Middle School & Sealth High School (6th through 12th grade) on the Sealth High School site.

The proposal calls for renovating Sealth, and constructing a new middle school building on the northern side of the Sealth campus. Access to the new middle school complex will be from Kenyon Street. The former Denny Middle School site is proposed to be incorporated into the athletic field complex for adult athletic events. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2008.
