Civic Capital Project
Civic Capital is a moderated town forum. Every few weeks, the Civic Capital site will display a group of news stories and opinions from community political groups dealing with a different local issue. (The current issue is the race for Governor.) One goal of the Project is to evaluate different ways to organize online discussions. Because many people don't feel comfortable expressing themselves in the face of Usenet's sometimes abusive anarchy, Civic Capital hopes to investigate better ways to conduct such discussions, and so encourage a wider range of people to participate.
October 3
Seattle Neighborhood Coalition
Each month the Neighborhood Coalition, an informal group of people active in Seattle neighborhood organizations, meets at the Greenhouse Cafe to discuss neighborhood issues and City government.
October 1

On September 12 and 25 the League, the King County Washington Women Lawyers and the Seattle Public Library will host two more public question and answer forums for candidates for King County Superior Court. These forums will be held in the SPL auditorium, 1000 Fourth Avenue, from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.
