Washington State Diversity Network
The Washington State Diversity Network holds monthly forums where employers and community based organizations come together to match current employment openings with diverse job seekers. Employers bring their job openings to local meetings held each month in Spokane and several cities in western Washington, and CBOs bring resumes of their "job ready" clients. All meetings are free and are fully accessible to persons with disabilities. WSDN has had a high rate of successful job placements resulting directly from the contacts made at these meetings.

The job openings presented by employers range from unskilled, entry level positions to management jobs. They include part-time, full-time, temporary, temp-to-perm and permanent positions. Those attending the meetings represent small, medium and large companies and include public and private sector employers and staffing services.

Friends of Pritchard Beach Park
Pritchard Beach Park, on the shores of Lake Washington, is home to the largest wetlands restoration effort in the city of Seattle. More than four acres of wet park land that was used as a city nursery is being restored to a marshy, wildlife-friendly wetland. The Pritchard Beach Wetland/Wildlife Education Center works with nearby schools to teach students about the benefits and functions of wetlands. The Friends of Pritchard Beach Park is the volunteer neighborhood organization formed to oversee this transformation and be the stewards of this unique place nestled in between Seward Park, Rainier Beach and Pritchard Island.

Cappella Romana
Cappella Romana is a vocal chamber ensemble that explores the musical traditions of the Christian West and East. Its name comes from the medieval Roman oikoumene (inhabited world), which included not only "Old" Rome and Western Europe but also "New Rome" (Constantinople) and its commonwealth of Slavic and Syriac countries. Cappella Romana's professional singers sing the Slavic and Byzantine repertories in their original languages, making more accessible two great musical traditions that are little-known in the West. The ensemble offers annual concert series in Portland and Seattle, featuring works ranging from medieval chant and polyphony to twentieth-century choral music and chamber music.
