Other Women in Black Websites:

Women in Black is an international peace network. Women in Black is not an organization, but a means of mobilization and a formula for action. Women in Black vigils were started in Israel in 1988 by women protesting against Israel’s Occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, and has developed in countries such as Italy, Spain, Germany, England, Azerbaijan, Colombia, and Yugoslavia. Women in Black groups have formed in many cities in the United States since September 11th.

Jewish Voices Against the Occupation
An alternative Jewish voice:  a group of Jewish people living in the Pacific Northwest. "In the spirit of morality and social justice so deeply grounded in Jewish culture and tradition, we raise our voice in solidarity with the people of Palestine and Israel who daily resist the dehumanizing horrors of occupation. The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom was founded in 1915 during World War I, with Jane Addams as its first president. WILPF works to achieve through peaceful means world disarmament, full rights for women, racial and economic justice, an end to all forms of violence, and to establish those political, social, and psychological conditions which can assure peace, freedom, and justice for all.  WILPF works to create an environment of political, economic, social and psychological freedom for all members of the human community, so that true peace can be enjoyed by all.

Women Peacemakers Program (of International Fellowship of Reconciliation)
The Women Peacemakers Program (WPP), working locally and internationally, empowers women peace activists. Launched in June 1997, this program of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR) supports women in promoting nonviolent social change.
