At the intersection of Winslow Way and Highway 305, Bainbridge Island, Women in Black Peace Vigil, in the tradition of the Israeli and Palestinian women who vigil for peace, "We stand in public witness to lives and hopes lost due to violence.  We stand in solidarty in our support of human rights and civil liberties.  We stand in support of nonviolent solutions to conflict.  Because we want a world of peace and tolerance in which the dignity of each individual is respected, we are committed to actions that end US support for illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel, protect the civil liberties compromised by the War on Terror, sow seeds of peace, and replace US unilateralism with US partnership with nations of the world.  Leafletters are welcome and needn't wear black, be women, or keep silent."

Gig Harbor Women in Black Peace Vigil on the SW corner of Olympic Drive and Pt. Fosdick Drive, Gig Harbor.  In front of the Chevron station. Directions from Seattle:  Take I-5 south to Highway 16 (to Bremerton), to the Narrows Bridge. Take the second exit (Olympic Drive), turn left on Olympic. Cross over the Freeway.
Men stand on the opposite corner with signs.  We stand in peaceful silence with candles, and a simple Women in Black sign.
Women please wear black and stand in silent vigil.  Bring a candle.  It is traditional that the main group of women do not carry signs.

Snohomish County Women in Black, Silent Vigil for Peace at the Brackett's Landing Sign, to the left of the ferry station (as you face the ferry), on the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue, in downtown Edmonds.
