2:45-3:45 Kilometer Zero, the IMC Cancun Video, Shot and edited during this past September's 5th WTO Ministerial in Cancun, Mexico, Kilometer Zero depicts the determination and power of thousands of dissenters both inside and outside the barricades that protected the WTO Meetings, while also bringing to light the critical issues surrounding the WTO's escalating campaign of corruption. Against the surreal backdrop of Cancun, Kilometer Zero brings together over 20 video makers to depict the powerful story of the shutdown and crash of the 5th Ministerial. Kilometer Zero is a production of IMC-Cancun, a two-week IMC formed to cover the 5th ministerial. For more info, please visit: www.cancun.indymedia.org. Total Running Time: Approx. 1 hr. Kilometer Zero is a benifit for Accion Informativa en Resistencia (AIRE), a media activism group from Mexico City http://www.kloakas.com/8.html

4:00-4:30 We Are Everywhere Slide Show. In 1994, indigenous Zapatista rebels emerged from the rainforest shouting "Ya Basta" in defiance of the birth of the North American Free Trade Agreement. This tiny band of women and men rekindled a radical resistance movement that was to gain momentum and inspire a whole new generation. Announcing the end of the end of history, and opposition to global neoliberalism, their cry was heard and echoed around the globe. From urban street reclaimers in London and land squatters in Brazil, to Indian farmers protesting GM crops and the Italian White Overall Movement, spontaneous uprisings found common interests and a shared enemy - global capital. As events swept from Chiapas to Seattle, Genoa to Bangalore, and summit after summit has been wreathed in tear gas, the new movement has matured into a massive political force - flexible, strategic and able to resist and adapt to the increasingly brutal response by various states. The editors of this radical publishing project have been on the frontlines of the movement, working as activists and writers, story chasers, and documentarians. The Slide Show will be presented by one of the book's editors, a member of the Infernal Noise Brigade, with music provided by DJ Filastine, also from the Infernal Noise Brigade.
