One of WWFOR's main focus issues is Racial Justice.
Western Washington Fellowship of Reconciliation had an Undoing Racism Workshop for its Area Committee (governing body) and other interested members of chapters on March 12, 2005. Thanks to Sarah Augustine and Lea Zengage for facilitating this workshop!
WWFOR did an audit on our anti-racism work in spring 2004. Chapters were asked to fill out a form and this issue was discussed at our May 15, 2004, Area Committee meeting.
Check out the new books on racism in WWFOR's resource library.
Seattle Chapter members are working for greater police accountability and support Mothers for Police Accountability and People's Coalition for Justice in their work. Seattle Chapter has worked on a listening project involving Native American issues, has had programs about reparations for African Americans, about racism and the criminal justice system, and about undoing racism.
Cowlitz County chapter is working on prison issues.
North Olympic Peninsula members support justice for Native Americans in the area.
