Peace Pledge Update 3 1/2 - March 25, 2002

IRAQ: Peace Pledge in the Congressional Record

Good News:

The 'Campaign of Conscience Peace Pledge' has been entered into the Congressional Record. We faced a five-page limit on the number of pages we could submit. In coordination with the Congressman Kucinich's (D-OH) office we decided to feature the names from his state and a numerical breakdown for all the other states.

A full listing of the names would have been 60 pages.

I would recommend that you focus on the entry of the peace pledge into the record, and continue to encourage people to keep pushing for the May event. So far, over 3500 people signed the Peace Pledge either through FOR or AFSC.

Thanks to all who gathered names and forwarded the message.
