Tee Fee Loves Seattle

Annie Howard is a member of Tee Fee Swamp Boogie Band, from Berkeley, California, and she wrote this in Tee Fee's Feb. 15 Newsletter:

"WHAT A GAS! We had such a GREAT time in Seattle on Jan 18th. We wore all our gris gris and kicked up our heels at the Tractor Tavern on my birthday. We played for four sweat drenched hours and when it was all over the crowd sang me Happy Birthday! I was so touched (no, I didn't tell them to do it!) I was told that there were over 300 people but I couldn't tell…all I know is that the community really opened up their arms and hearts to us! Richard Smallwood, Fifi & their sweeties put it together for us and we want to say "Thanks" and are looking forward to coming back in July. Dan & Eric at the Tractor couldn't have been nicer! There were times I was reminded of our dances at Ashkenaz [Berkeley] looking out from the stage onto a sea of dancers. My mom & dad, Aunt & Uncle, sister & brother-in-law were there too, so it was really a great birthday! —Love ya, Annie"
