Jenny Wango (not a real person)
3956 Tenth Ave. NE., #204
Seattle, WA 98105

Dear Ms.Wango:

Thank you for applying for our half-time administrative assistant position with general office skills including MS Office, Access, and Internet located in the Pioneer Square area of Seattle. The position was advertised in the Seattle Times and Seattle Weekly/Eastside Week.

While we were impressed with your knowledge of PageMaker and advertising copy background, Ms. Wango, we regret that the position has been filled by someone who provided both an e-mail* and a personal web page address** on their cover letter and resume along with demonstrated advanced skills in Windows 95 (created shortcuts), Word and Access (linked files together for mail merge and managed a previous database), and was familiar with Eudora, our e-mail program. The rate of compensation will be a contract for 120 days at $12.00 an hour for five days a week with the workday being 4 hours a day. An additional up to $100 will be paid for actual medical insurance expenses and one day each a month will be provided for vacation and sick leave.

A Mutual FriendTM is a Seattle-based nationwide service that makes it easy to find out if there is a mutual attraction between two people. Unlike introduction services, which match strangers according to outside factors, A Mutual FriendTM helps you determine if someone you already know is interested in you at work, school, your religious or social environments, or elsewhere. It is excellent for shy folks, persons for whom directly asking someone out for a date is foreign to them due to their age, generation, gender, or family upbringing or culture, and newly single persons (after a long-term relationship has ended). We enclose two copies of our brochure for your use.

Sincerely yours,

Keith Gormèzano
Office Manager
