I seem to have a strong preference for police, science fiction, and adventure-history type shows, particularly if they are closed captioned which means Highlander is not on my list. I usually tape my shows and watch them while eating breakfast or dinner to maximize my time. Since I am hearing-impaired, I choose not to listen to most radio stations (except those playing 60-70's hits or "old fogey music" according to the daughter of an ex-friend) when I am driving as I prefer to have 100% of my attention on the road. However, I will listen to a good tape or CD when driving in familiar territory. I sometimes get my tapes or CDs from Seattle Public or King County libraries.
