Necklace OcarinasSound The necklace ocarina is a popular instrument because of how easy it is to play, and because of its convenient size and unique tuning. By covering different holes in different combinations, you can play a full octave with all sharps and flats. It is available in an unglazed red terra cotta, or brightly glazed stoneware. Necklace ocarinas are in the soprano and sopranino range. An attractive, black necklace cord is supplied with every necklace ocarina. Due to requests from customers, I have written a 4-hole ocarina song sheet that contains several well-known songs. These are written out in such a way that there is no need to be able to read music in order to play them. |
Traditional OcarinasSoprano Sound Alto Sound Tenor Sound These wonderful little instruments were developed to the traditional western tuning in Italy during the late 1800's. The traditional ocarina, which plays one and a half octaves with full chromatics, is available in the soprano, alto and tenor sizes. The wider range of these ocarinas enables the player to expand his/her repertoire of tunes. The fingering pattern is very similar to other standard wind instruments such as the flute or recorder. Since the traditional ocarinas are most suitable for playing with other instruments, these are available in popular keys: sopranos and tenors in B-flat, C or D, altos in F or G. Please specify if you wish a certain key. |
