Now its time to roll up our collective sleeves and fix things. Rule by the conservatives has left this nation in shambles. Here are some simple things that the average citizen can do to help President Obama restore optimism and hope to our battered and abused nation:
1) First, take a moment to rejoice. Let your emotions out. You deserve to celebrate the victory.
2) Treat an unemployed friend to a meal at a restaurant. Keep in close contact with them. Offer to babysit their children while they are out looking for work.
3) Buy some shares of underpriced stock (many companies listed on the Dow are bargain-priced now).
4) Smile at strangers as you pass them on the street.
5) Stuff a $5 bill into a Salvation Army Christmas donation pot.
6) If you are a landlord who rents out a room in your house, give your tenant one-month rent-free.
7) Write a letter to a friend who you haven't contacted in many years.
