WMR has previously reported on the close association between
the National Security Agency (NSA) at Fort Meade, Maryland and
agencies of the state of Maryland.
For example, NSA has recruited some of its psychologists
from the Maryland correctional system. The NSA psychologists
have been used to harass NSA employees and were used to concoct
phony medical reasons for NSA employees to lose their
security
clearances, a step before employment termination.
NSA has been purging a number of its civilian and military employees
for reasons that they have refused to go along with the cooking of
intelligence and their anti-war stances.
NSA Office of Security has also established close links to
Maryland state police, Anne Arundel County police, and Baltimore
police political surveillance units that have targeted anti-war
groups active in the Fort Meade area.
WMR has now learned that NSA's tentacles now extend into the
Maryland Department of Labor where state employees have denied
unemployment benefits to NSA employees who have been terminated.
Maryland Department of Labor unemployment interviewers have been
known to
ask probing questions of ex-NSA personnel to try and
get them to reveal classified information. The ruse is designed
to place the ex-employees into positions where they could not only
be denied unemployment benefits but be prosecuted for revealing
classified information.
