Sure, national and state politics get all the headlines. But when it comes right down to it, most of the real work of our democracy rests on the shoulders of those at the local level. The success of our form of government relies largely on the skills a nd talents of those elected here at home. Since 1946, the Municipal League has served as a non-partisan watchdog for community improvement through responsive local governments. We strive to ensure that our elected officials are models of justice and ethics, use sound fiscal management, are acce ssible and reflect the excellent management skills that our citizens deserve.
