The two most egregious moments in Citizen Kane:

Kane comes home from Europe. How do we get everyone in the news room over to the window to see the arrival on the street below? Simple! Someone over by the window says "Hey everyone, come look at this!"

An exterior shot of Xanadu, Kane's castle. The fact that it's only a model (shh!) is not egregious. It's the strange animated dinosaur thing flying by the castle that's egregious.
